Tres Magnifique
Ahh…spring time in Paris … Paris, Tennessee that is.

No need to travel across the Atlantic for a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. Just take a short drive to Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn., to see Tennessee’s own version.

The 60-foot replica of the French tower has become one of the most recognizable landmarks in Henry County. The original wooden structure, donated in 1992 by Christian Brothers University, was recently replaced by a sturdier steel version designed by University of Tennessee at Martin engineering students.

An American flag that once flew above the nation’s capitol now flies atop the tower, symbolizing the liberty and freedom that also inspired the construction of France’s Tour Eiffel.
